Itinerary Pace Calculator

Check whether visits, transfers, meals and a buffer fit the hours available in one day.

Your result will appear here.

Calculation happens in your browser. No account, automatic input saving or backend submission.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose the genuinely usable hours between commitments.
  2. Estimate visits and route-specific travel legs.
  3. Add meals/breaks without counting overlapping activities twice.
  4. Apply a scenario-based buffer and edit if over capacity.
  5. Check the chronological schedule and fixed starts separately.

How the calculation works

Base = stops × visit minutes + legs × leg minutes + break minutes. Add a percent buffer and compare to available hours.

A practical example

Eight hours; four 60-minute visits; five 20-minute legs; 90 minutes of breaks; 15% buffer: 494.5 minutes planned, 14.5 minutes over capacity.

Load example restores the illustrative inputs and calculates. Reset restores those input defaults and clears the result. When an input changes, calculate again before exporting so your saved record matches the current assumptions.

Common mistakes

  • Counting only between-stop transfers, omitting outbound/return.
  • Using geographic distance as route time.
  • Assuming a whole-day total validates every timed event.

Limitations and interpretation

Aggregate model only. No opening hours, queue/traffic feed, timed-entry sequence, personal pace assessment or transport guarantee.

The result answers the stated calculation only. Check real bookings, provider rules and current route details separately where they affect your travel. Text exports are snapshots; the site does not synchronize or import saved results.

Privacy and your records

No precise itinerary or location history is needed; inputs stay local.

Frequently asked questions

Does it build a route?

No. Supply travel-leg estimates from your route information.

How should I handle different leg times?

Sum the real legs and use a documented average, or calculate separate parts/scenarios.

What does utilization mean?

The planned buffered time divided by your available minutes; above 100% means the aggregate day is overloaded.
